Treatment methods

A neoplasm can be single or multiple. The latter variant is a sign of neurofibromatosis. Nodules are removed by surgery and laser. Treatment may include taking innovative drugs to prevent progression of the disease.

Diagnosis of neurofibroma

The benefits of treatment can be described as comprehensive therapy planning. A consilium of oncologists, dermatologists, and ophthalmologists determines the treatment plan. The surgeons are of the highest caliber. They can safely remove tumors. Diagnosis includes:

  • a doctor’s consultation – the diagnostician identifies alarming symptoms;
  • CT, MRI, PET-MRI to visualize tumors;
  • biopsy – to determine the type of neoplasm and its nature.

Day 1 – Conducting an examination after registering at the clinic.

Day 2 – laboratory tests, computer tomography, magnetic resonance therapy, biopsy.

Day 3 – at the consultation, the doctor establishes the diagnosis and determines the treatment regimen.

Therapy of neurofibroma with medications

The site of plexiform neurofibromas is the nerve trunks. They are not allowed to be removed as recurrence occurs. Treating the disease:

  • “Selumetinib.”
  • “Trametinib.”
  • “Cobimetinib.”

The effect of these drugs is to shrink the neoplasm.

Therapy of neurofibroma by surgical methods

Surgical intervention is performed with a laser device. Due to the safe procedure, there is a possibility of eliminating a large number of nodules.

A plexiform tumor is removed using a complex microsurgery. The surgeon’s primary goal is to maximize the integrity of the nerve tissue using state-of-the-art surgical microscopes.

    Really enjoyed the MDI clinic. Great attitude towards patients. Applied with the problem of psoriasis (>10 years trying to cure and nothing helps). I was worried about how everything would go, as I was flying from another country, but before arrival everything was discussed with me: what to do, how much time of stay will be needed, cost, accommodation, absolutely everything and I was not so worried.
