Symptoms of osteoarthritis of the knee joint include – pain in the joint, synovitis (swelling of the joint), thickening of the joint contour, crunching, limitation of movement.

Diagnosis of the disease in MDI Clinic

The doctor inquires in detail about the anamnesis and localization of pain, studies the medical history, concomitant diseases. In our clinic, we perform a thorough examination to determine the amount of motion of the knee, the condition of the menisci, and assess the condition of other joints. X-rays must be taken to see pathologic changes. In addition, it is possible to prescribe ultrasound to assess the condition of soft tissues, MRI to examine degenerative changes in bone and soft tissues, as well as arthroscopy to examine synovial fluid to rule out inflammation or infection.

On the first day, a thorough history taking, initial examination is performed. On the second day, examinations and tests are performed. On the third day you will be consulted by a leading specialist of our clinic, an individual treatment plan will be drawn up and prescriptions for medical drugs will be written.
