What are the dangers of cirrhosis of the liver
Cirrhosis is a qualitative change from healthy tissue to connective tissue. Unlike normal liver cells, connective tissue does not perform the necessary functions. The human body is worse able to cope with toxins and cannot maintain metabolic processes.
As cirrhosis progresses, there is less and less healthy tissue left, and the liver begins to die. At the stage of liver failure, the chances of successful treatment are very low.
The main dangers of cirrhosis:
- It is initially asymptomatic as the liver compensates for the connective tissues with healthy cells;
- symptoms can be confused with other diseases;
- disease has no stages – if it is diagnosed, then the changes are already there and have affected your health.
Cirrhosis is preceded by fibrosis, which is treatable in the early stages.
Symptoms of liver cirrhosis
The main signs of cirrhosis:
- right subcostal pain;
- a taste of bitterness in the mouth;
- light colored feces;
- orange or dark urine;
- bleeding from the gums or nose;
- swelling of the extremities;
- jaundice.
Patients also note fatigue, poor sleep, loss of appetite.
Diagnosis of cirrhosis

Really enjoyed the MDI clinic. Great attitude towards patients. Applied with the problem of psoriasis (>10 years trying to cure and nothing helps).
