DIAGNOSIS AT MDI CLINIC

On the first day, the patient arrives at the clinic where he or she is examined by a diagnostician, paying attention to palpation of the lips, lymph nodes, neck, cheeks, and gums. History taking. If early examinations are available, they are referred to the laboratory.

Referrals are made for individually necessary examinations and tests. On the second day, the necessary research methods and tests are performed. On the third day, the patient is counseled by an oncologist and oncologic surgeon, summarizing the results of the study. An individualized treatment and drug therapy plan is drawn up.

TREATMENT AT MDI CLINIC

Treatment is developed based on the diagnostic examination obtained. Surgery is favored. The type of surgery is chosen depending on the extent and severity of the process.

Doctors are trying to save the organ. If this is not possible due to a neglected pathologic condition, cosmetic and anatomical reconstruction is performed. As complex or separately applied cryodestruction, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, photodynamics.

The prognosis depends on the stage at which the lip cancer is detected. In the early stages the prognosis of survival is almost 100%, in the fourth stage already 55%.

Seeing a doctor in a timely manner always improves the prognosis.

You should see your doctor once a quarter to prevent recurrence for several years. After this period, annual check-ups and self-monitoring will be sufficient.

    Really enjoyed the MDI clinic. Great attitude towards patients. Applied with the problem of psoriasis (>10 years trying to cure and nothing helps). I was worried about how everything would go, as I was flying from another country, but before arrival everything was discussed with me: what to do, how much time of stay will be needed, cost, accommodation, absolutely everything and I was not so worried. Upon arrival I was met, driven to the hotel and was in constant contact with me. Also gave a local SIM card for communication and internet, drove and accompanied everywhere.
