Prof. Shlomi MATETZKI is an outstanding cardiologist, cardiac surgeon, known in Israel and in international medical circles as a brilliant specialist in the treatment of severe cardiac pathologies.

For more than 27 years, Shlomi Matecki has been involved in research on the heart muscle damage that is heart attack. In 2001, he established the Coronary Events (heart attacks) in Young Adulthood Clinic at Israel’s Sheba Medical Center, which is dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac patients who developed the disease at an early age. In 2006, he established and headed the service for the care of patients with chest pain (CPU) at Sheba Medical Center, which deals with the diagnosis and surgical treatment of patients with chest pain and suspected acute heart attack.
He has been a member of the medical board of the Israel National Medical Service since 2012.
Today, Prof. Shlomi Matecki continues to conduct numerous clinical and laboratory studies in the field of heart disease and anticoagulant therapy in heart attack patients.
He has published more than 85 articles in international medical journals reflecting the results of research in the field of anticoagulant therapy after myocardial infarction. His articles are regularly cited in journals worldwide and his research papers are used in cardiology textbooks. Prof. Matecki is actively engaged in teaching.
