Prof. Haim GUTMAN

Professor Haim GUTMAN is a world-renowned oncological surgeon, a unique specialist in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of melanoma, basalioma, squamous cell skin cancer, soft tissue sarcoma, gastrointestinal and breast tumors. He has a total clinical experience of over 40 years.

The professor’s main area of specialization is the treatment of melanoma, the most aggressive tumor known today. According to Chaim Gutman, accurate diagnosis is one of the most important factors for a patient’s speedy recovery. He is constantly improving and developing his skills – among the first in the world, the professor introduced the implementation of signal lymph node biopsy. This procedure allows you to reliably determine the extent of surgery and remove the neoplasm with minimal invasion of healthy tissue. To reduce the risk of recurrence, the professor uses innovative methods, including neo-adjuvant therapy with the latest drugs. Advanced intraoperative isotope technology helps the surgeon to maximize the elimination of side effects and complications. A drug is injected into the patient’s bloodstream and carried to the affected organ or tissue. Over a period of time, the drug is topically irradiated to the affected area.

The professor is an advocate of organ-preserving surgery. In his medical practice, he actively uses minimally invasive laparoscopic and endoscopic techniques that minimize patient recovery time. In complicated cases, the professor resorts to partial or complete removal of the breast to treat breast cancer. Haim Gutman is also known as a brilliant plastic surgeon who masterfully performs breast reconstruction after mastectomy. Preserving the aesthetic appearance of the breast helps patients overcome psychological problems and return to a full life.

Professor Gutman graduated with honors from the M.D. Anderson School of Medicine. Sackler at Tel Aviv University, became board-certified in surgery and basic sciences, and at the end of his training period became board-certified in general and oncologic surgery. He has studied various surgical techniques and oncology research at medical centers in the United States, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. Currently, the professor is the head of the Department of Oncologic Surgery.

Chaim Gutman conducts numerous studies in the field of oncology. He lectures on oncologic surgery courses at various institutions, including universities in the United States. The professor has published more than 100 articles in the professional literature and has co-authored numerous research papers and scientific publications in the field of oncologic surgery in all its branches. Chaim Gutman has received numerous awards and fellowships for his scientific achievements.

Really enjoyed the MDI clinic. Great attitude towards patients. Applied with the problem of psoriasis (>10 years trying to cure and nothing helps). I was worried about how everything would go, as I was flying from another country, but before arrival everything was discussed with me: what to do, how much time of stay will be needed, cost, accommodation, absolutely everything and I was not so worried. Upon arrival I was met, driven to the hotel and was in constant contact with me. Also gave a local SIM card for communication and internet, drove and accompanied everywhere. Was in Tel Aviv for 3 days and during this time visited the doctor, did all the necessary tests and prescribed treatment.
