Prof. David MARGEL

Prof. David MARGEL is a renowned and sought-after urologist, an unrivaled expert in the field of urologic oncologic surgery and in detecting cancers at the earliest stage. Head of the Cancer Epidemiology Service at the Assuta Clinic Cancer Center.

Prof. David Margel is known far beyond the borders of Israel for performing the most complex urological and oncologic operations related to various neoplasms of the genitourinary organs. She holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.

David Margel is the founder and permanent director of two medical facilities: a bladder cancer clinic and a clinic for men who carry the BRCA gene.

Prof. Margel is a pioneering physician and uses the latest treatment techniques such as IMRT conformal radiation therapy and stereotactic radiation therapy (SBRT/SABR), proton radiation therapy and image guided radiation therapy (IGRT) in the treatment of urological cancers.

In addition to outstanding results in the treatment of urological diseases, David Margel is also renowned as an excellent diagnostician. Before prescribing and recommending treatment, each of his patients undergoes a full range of diagnostic examinations, including advanced imaging (MRI, CT, PET-CT) as well as biopsies for early detection of malignant tumors. Proponent of multidisciplinary approach in medicine, when a patient is under the comprehensive care of several subspecialists. The doctor also attaches great importance to the prevention of cancer of the genitourinary organs.

He has published more than 50 scientific papers on cancer diagnosis in the field of urology.

Really enjoyed the MDI clinic. Great attitude towards patients. Applied with the problem of psoriasis (>10 years trying to cure and nothing helps). I was worried about how everything would go, as I was flying from another country, but before arrival everything was discussed with me: what to do, how much time of stay will be needed, cost, accommodation, absolutely everything and I was not so worried. Upon arrival I was met, driven to the hotel and was in constant contact with me. Also gave a local SIM card for communication and internet, drove and accompanied everywhere. Was in Tel Aviv for 3 days and during this time visited the doctor, did all the necessary tests and prescribed treatment. After leaving, I am still in touch with the curators and doctors to find out how the treatment is going, whether the medication is helping, my general health, whether I need to send more medication, etc. I am very glad that I visited MDI clinic, as it was the first time I saw the effect of treatment and that it actually helps. Words can't describe the emotions and feelings when you realize that you will finally be healthy and you can no longer be self-conscious about your skin, wear open clothes, put your hair up however you want, etc.
