Dr. Ilan BAR

Dr. Ilan BAR is a highly skilled thoracic surgeon and has been a recognized expert in the diagnosis and treatment of various lung diseases for many years. The area of professional interest of this physician is lung oncology, surgical interventions in the upper respiratory tract. He is also involved in the therapy of spontaneous pneumothorax and the surgical correction of congenital chest deformity resulting in aesthetic or functional impairment. Provides effective help to patients with pulmonary emphysema even at an advanced stage of the disease. Excellently performs removal of part (lobectomy) or whole lung, performs lung biopsy.

Ilan Bar is a specialist known far beyond the borders of Israel. Total medical experience – more than 20 years. In his daily practice, he uses the most modern methods to prolong the life of patients. Performs accurate diagnosis when malignancy is suspected in the chest area with mediastinoscopy, lung biopsy, lymph node biopsy followed by removal of affected areas of the lung.

Dr. Ilan Bar performs all surgical interventions using a minimally invasive method (thoracoscopy), which significantly reduces postoperative pain, shortens the hospitalization period and speeds up the rehabilitation period.

Ilan Bar currently heads the Department of Thoracic Surgery at a major medical center. He is also involved in the surgical treatment of patients in the operating rooms of the Assuta Clinic.

In 2000, Dr. Bar established and chaired the Israeli Society for Lung Surgery.

Really enjoyed the MDI clinic. Great attitude towards patients. Applied with the problem of psoriasis (>10 years trying to cure and nothing helps). I was worried about how everything would go, as I was flying from another country, but before arrival everything was discussed with me: what to do, how much time of stay will be needed, cost, accommodation, absolutely everything and I was not so worried. Upon arrival I was met, driven to the hotel and was in constant contact with me. Also gave a local SIM card for communication and internet, drove and accompanied everywhere. Was in Tel Aviv for 3 days and during this time visited the doctor, did all the necessary tests and prescribed treatment. After leaving, I am still in touch with the curators and doctors to find out how the treatment is going, whether the medication is helping, my general health, whether I need to send more medication, etc. I am very glad that I visited MDI clinic, as it was the first time I saw the effect of treatment and that it actually helps. Words can't describe the emotions and feelings when you realize that you will finally be healthy and you can no longer be self-conscious about your skin, wear open clothes, put your hair up however you want, etc.
