Treatment methods
Patients with endocrine disease are usually prescribed calcium and vitamin D (usually in the form of active vitamin D such as alpha-calciferol or rocalciferol). Doses are individualized by monitoring the level of changes in the blood.
This is the standard treatment for parathyroid gland adenoma. The surgeon removes the tumor, trying to preserve as much healthy parathyroid tissue as possible.
The parathyroid glands are located near the upper and lower poles of the gland. The main function of these glands is to regulate the level of formations and phosphorus in the blood. They produce paratgormone or PTH, which controls the level of the change, raising its level in the blood when necessary.
Hyperparathyroidism is a condition in which the parathyroid glands (parathyroid or perithyroid glands) produce excessive amounts of parathormone.
Paratgormone regulates the level of and phosphorus in the blood. Hyperparathyroidism can lead to metabolic and media disturbances, which in turn can cause negative effects on bones, kidneys, and other organs.
Hypoparathyroidism refers to a rare endocrine disorder in which the glands do not produce enough parathyroid hormone. PTH plays a key role in regulating the levels of formate and phosphorus in the blood. Hypoparathyroidism can cause decreased levels of blood changes and disturbances in various organs and systems.
Parathyroid adenoma, also known as parathyroid adenoma, is a benign tumor that develops in the parathyroid gland or in one of the parathyroid glands.
This gland assumes a major role in regulating the level of changes in the body, a derivative of parathyroid hormone (PTH), which controls the level of factors and substances in the blood. Adenoma of the parathyroid glands can alter the function of these glands, which can lead to hyperparathyroidism, a condition characterized by excessive levels of PTH and, the theory goes, increased levels of alterations in the blood.
Diagnosis at MDI Clinic
First of all, the levels of indicators in the blood are measured – an elevated indicator indicates the presence of hyperparathyroidism, and a reduced indicator indicates hypoparathyroidism.
An increase in bone density may indicate osteoporosis. An ultrasound or magnetic resonance imaging may then be performed. These methods allow visualizing the glands and stating the presence of adenoma or hyperplasia.
