Prolonged exposure to ultraviolet radiation may promote the development of squamous cell carcinoma of the skin. Hereditary mutations can increase the likelihood of developing cancer.

Diagnosis at MDI Clinic

The doctor examines the area if a tumor or skin changes are suspected. The oncologist studies the genetic predisposition and takes into account all symptoms.

Biopsy is a key method for diagnosing cancer. The doctor takes a small sample of tumor tissue (or changed tissue) for laboratory analysis. A biopsy can determine the type of tumor, its characteristics, and the degree of malignancy.

Immunoassay is used to detect physical proteins on the surface of a cellular tumor. This helps in identifying the type of cancer and markers to select the best therapies.

Ultrasound is used to evaluate the size and structure of the neoplasm. Sometimes additional tests, such as blood tests, may be performed to evaluate overall changes in organ function.

    Really enjoyed the MDI clinic. Great attitude towards patients. Applied with the problem of psoriasis (>10 years trying to cure and nothing helps).
