Breast cancer in men
MammologyMale breast cancer is a malignant neoplasm arising from the mammary gland cells of the male body. Although this type of cancer is much less common than in women, it remains a serious medical problem. Breast cancer in men can occur at any age, but older men are most at risk of developing it.
Treatment methods
Some types of breast cancer can be dependent on hormones such as estrogen. Hormone therapy is aimed at blocking the action of hormones.
This technique involves using high-energy radio frequencies to infect cancer cells and prevent them from growing. It is used both before and after surgery.
Chemotherapy at MDI Clinic is the use of drugs that have an effect on cancer cells throughout the body. This allows you to fight possible metastasis.
Depending on the stage and sign of the tumor, surgery may remove the tumor (lumpectomy) or remove the entire breast (mammectomy). In some cases, lymph nodes in the axilla area are also removed.
The causes of breast cancer in men are not completely clear, but as in women, it is believed that genetic predisposition, the presence of certain genes like BRCA1 and BRCA2, and certain hormonal and environmental factors may play a role in causing the disease.
Diagnosis of breast cancer in men
The first thing MDI Clinic specialists do is to examine patients. The doctor gathers information about symptoms, medical history, and chronic conditions. The examination includes palpation of the breast to look for lumps, foci, or changes in skin texture.
Mammography examines the mammary glands. The machine can detect tumors, calcinates (mineral deposits), and other changes. Ultrasound allows evaluation of the degree, its structure, size and vascular pattern.
If cancer is suspected, a biopsy allows a tissue sample to be taken for laboratory analysis. This may be a needle biopsy or a surgical biopsy.
Next, computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are performed. These methods allow you to determine the stage of the disease, assess the spread of the tumor and the presence of metastases.
Treatment of breast cancer in men
For the best treatment outcome and prognosis, it is important to start treating the symptoms of the disease. An individualized treatment plan is based on the patient’s medical history, stage of cancer, symptomatology, and other manifestations.
Successful treatment of breast cancer in men depends on early detection, timely diagnosis, and the right treatment plan. Individualized approach to each patient allows to achieve the best results and improve the quality of life.

Really enjoyed the MDI clinic. Great attitude towards patients. Applied with the problem of psoriasis (>10 years trying to cure and nothing helps).
