What are the dangers of benign meningioma?

Meningioma diagnosis

How to cure meningioma and what is the prognosis?

The prognosis is positive because benign cancer responds well to chemotherapy, radiation and rarely recurs. The treatment plan is customized for each patient, the main methods are as follows:

  1. Chemotherapy is a drug treatment that stops tumor growth.
  2. Radiation therapy offers a special type of radiation that destroys cancer cells. For meningiomas, narrowly focused radiation is applied only to the area of the mass.
  3. Surgical intervention. Meningiomas can be removed completely during surgery if cellular localization permits.
