Prof. Abraham AVITAL

Prof. Avraham AVITAL is an excellent physician, highly skilled in the study and treatment of lung diseases in the Pediatric Pulmonology Department at Israel’s largest hospital. The doctor’s total clinical experience is approaching 50 years.

Prof. Avital diagnoses and treats conditions such as asthma, bronchitis, allergic problems and pathologies, cystic fibrosis, pulmonary dystonia and other lung infections. The doctor pays great attention to the prevention of recurrent lung diseases.

Upon graduation from Hadassah Hebrew University School of Medicine, Avraham Avital received his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. He then completed his residency in the Department of Pediatrics at Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem. He improved his professional qualifications while serving in the Israel Defense Forces as a military doctor. From 1988 to 1990, he worked as a leading pediatric pulmonology specialist in Winnipeg, Canada.

Today, Prof. Avraham Avital provides consultations in the field of pediatric pulmonology in Israeli clinics. He is a long-time educator, lecturing to future physicians at the Department of Pediatrics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He is also the head of the Israeli Pediatric Pulmonology Association.

Avraham Avital has published more than 80 scientific papers in international medical publications on the diagnosis of asthma, chronic lung diseases and on the prevention of recurrent lung diseases.

Really enjoyed the MDI clinic. Great attitude towards patients. Applied with the problem of psoriasis (>10 years trying to cure and nothing helps). I was worried about how everything would go, as I was flying from another country, but before arrival everything was discussed with me: what to do, how much time of stay will be needed, cost, accommodation, absolutely everything and I was not so worried. Upon arrival I was met, driven to the hotel and was in constant contact with me. Also gave a local SIM card for communication and internet, drove and accompanied everywhere. Was in Tel Aviv for 3 days and during this time visited the doctor, did all the necessary tests and prescribed treatment. After leaving, I am still in touch with the curators and doctors to find out how the treatment is going, whether the medication is helping, my general health, whether I need to send more medication, etc. I am very glad that I visited MDI clinic, as it was the first time I saw the effect of treatment and that it actually helps. Words can't describe the emotions and feelings when you realize that you will finally be healthy and you can no longer be self-conscious about your skin, wear open clothes, put your hair up however you want, etc.
