Prof. Yigal LEIBOVICH

Prof. Igal LEIBOVICH is a world-renowned ophthalmologist, a highly professional specialist in oculoplastic surgery (ophthalmoplasty) and eyelid and eye socket surgery. Head of the eye surgery unit in the department of ophthalmology, head of the ophthalmology hospital. Total clinical experience is about 30 years.

Igal Leibovich’s main area of activity is general ophthalmology (treatment of congenital eye pathologies and traumas, eye surgery, etc.), plastic and reconstructive surgeries of the eyelids and lacrimal duct, as well as oncologic diseases of the eye.

Every day the doctor performs surgical interventions, restoring lost vision even in the most severe cases. He is the author of unique techniques for performing the most complex ophthalmologic surgeries.

Yigal Leibovich graduated with honors from the Faculty of Medicine at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. After his studies, he interned at major clinics in the United States and Australia. He also served in the Israel Defense Forces as a military surgeon.

Today, Yigal Leibovich is a professor of medicine. Maintains a private practice, counseling, examining, diagnosing and providing effective medical care to patients from all over the world.

The doctor is constantly improving his professional skills and generously shares his wealth of experience with international colleagues. Prof. Leibowitz was named Outstanding Professional in the Physician Excellence Project. He has been honored with a named award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology and awarded the Outgoff Award from Tel Aviv University for his unique research work in the treatment of eye diseases. He has published more than 150 scientific papers in his specialty in the most prestigious medical publications.

Chairman of the National Examination Committee for Ophthalmology. A sought-after and popular lecturer, she lectures to students at the Department of Ophthalmology, Faculty of Medicine, Tel Aviv University. In 2013, he was named Israel’s best teacher.

Really enjoyed the MDI clinic. Great attitude towards patients. Applied with the problem of psoriasis (>10 years trying to cure and nothing helps). I was worried about how everything would go, as I was flying from another country, but before arrival everything was discussed with me: what to do, how much time of stay will be needed, cost, accommodation, absolutely everything and I was not so worried. Upon arrival I was met, driven to the hotel and was in constant contact with me. Also gave a local SIM card for communication and internet, drove and accompanied everywhere. Was in Tel Aviv for 3 days and during this time visited the doctor, did all the necessary tests and prescribed treatment. After leaving, I am still in touch with the curators and doctors to find out how the treatment is going, whether the medication is helping, my general health, whether I need to send more medication, etc. I am very glad that I visited MDI clinic, as it was the first time I saw the effect of treatment and that it actually helps. Words can't describe the emotions and feelings when you realize that you will finally be healthy and you can no longer be self-conscious about your skin, wear open clothes, put your hair up however you want, etc.
