Dr. Ron LAMDAN

Dr. Ron LAMDAN is a leading Israeli orthopedic surgeon and an expert in the treatment of muscular and skeletal disorders in infants, children and adolescents. The doctor diagnoses and treats congenital and acquired malformations, hip dysplasia, Perthes disease, epiphysiolysis of the femoral head (SCFE), clubfoot, foot and toe deformities. He specializes in complex fractures of the upper and lower extremities, as well as working with their sequelae. Ron Lamdan treats neurological conditions and orthopedic problems in children with cerebral palsy. Provides orthopedic therapy for children from birth through age 18. Occasional cases are taken to treat cerebral palsy in young adults in their 20s. The doctor’s clinical experience is more than 30 years.

Ron Lamdan works on various deformities of the skeletal system of the upper and lower extremities. The doctor specializes in the most complex cases of deformities of the knees, ankles, curvature in the hand and elbow, combining traditional treatment with splints and the latest orthopedic techniques. The doctor pays special attention to rehabilitation and restoration of the patient’s motor activity.

The treatment of hip dysplasia is one of the main specialties of Drs. Lamdanha. He has extensive experience in treating children from infancy. The doctor is a master of all joint repositioning techniques, including closed repositioning, plastering, and in severe cases, open hip repositioning or osteotomy.

Dr. Ron Lamdan is a graduate of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He completed his fellowship training in United States, Milwaukee and then became a resident in orthopedics in Orlando, Florida. Dr. Lamdan worked at Children’s Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut for several years before returning to Israel and leading the pediatric orthopedic department at University Hospital until 2017. He later moved to Tel Aviv and began working at Assuta Hospital, where today he heads the pediatric orthopedics department.

As the author of over 40 articles in prestigious peer-reviewed medical publications, Ron Lamdan has also been involved as an expert witness in the writing of many scientific papers. He is widely regarded as one of the leading pediatric orthopedists in the world.

Really enjoyed the MDI clinic. Great attitude towards patients. Applied with the problem of psoriasis (>10 years trying to cure and nothing helps). I was worried about how everything would go, as I was flying from another country, but before arrival everything was discussed with me: what to do, how much time of stay will be needed, cost, accommodation, absolutely everything and I was not so worried. Upon arrival I was met, driven to the hotel and was in constant contact with me. Also gave a local SIM card for communication and internet, drove and accompanied everywhere. Was in Tel Aviv for 3 days and during this time visited the doctor, did all the necessary tests and prescribed treatment. After leaving, I am still in touch with the curators and doctors to find out how the treatment is going, whether the medication is helping, my general health, whether I need to send more medication, etc. I am very glad that I visited MDI clinic, as it was the first time I saw the effect of treatment and that it actually helps. Words can't describe the emotions and feelings when you realize that you will finally be healthy and you can no longer be self-conscious about your skin, wear open clothes, put your hair up however you want, etc.
